2.1.15. True gain mode
The true gain mode parameter determines the mode used for true gain processing. The following options are available:
- Compensated Gain Control: True gain is used to apply gain and frequency compensation to the source signal. Maintains frequency balance while adjusting loudness.
- Compensated AGC: Target SPL is used to determine both the amount of gain applied to the source signal and the frequency compensation applied to the source signal. Can be used for SPL-based automatic gain control.
- Translation Check: Target SPL is used to determine the frequency compensation (only) applied to the source signal. Can be used to check how a mix translates at different SPLs, while maintaining monitoring level.
- Gain Control: True gain is used to apply gain (only) to the source signal. Does not maintain frequency balance while adjusting loudness.
The target SPL parameter is hidden while either Gain Control mode is active, since it is not used in these modes.
