2.1.8. Dynamics type

The dynamics type combo-box allows you to change the dynamics algorithm type.

  • Source:Target transforms from source loudness range to target loudness range
  • Compression (downward) reduces the loudness of audio above threshold by ratio.
  • Compression (upward) increases the loudness of sounds below threshold by ratio.
  • Expansion (downward) reduces the loudness of audio below threshold by ratio.
  • Expansion (upward) increases the loudness of sounds above threshold by ratio.
  • Soft Limiting limits the loudness of audio above threshold.
