3.2. Automatic gain control

This compressor is well suited for automatic gain control since it has support for multiple LUFS loudness types. For example, this configuration will provide very soft automatic gain control:

Select one of the “Deep” presets which utilizes short-term LUFS loudness type
Configure your source range so the minimum is above the noise floor and max is above the max source signal
Configure the target range to be relatively narrow, centered at your target average loudness
Lower the attack/release and/or linear attack/release settings as needed for transparency or responsiveness
Fine tune look-ahead time if using a look-ahead preset
