8.6. Remote Tracks and Find Online
A shared track may appear as a planning candidate even when its audio is unavailable locally. Harmonic DJ keeps that state explicit instead of showing it as a missing file or silently removing it from discovery.
Choose Library > Import Collection from Mix Link… and paste a public Harmonic DJ Mix link to create a path-free shared collection from its public track information. This imports a collection, not the Mix itself. Importing the same link again explicitly refreshes that collection; Harmonic DJ does not follow later publication updates automatically. The public Mix page remains the reference for its authored order, transition explanations, and recording.
Imported Mix-link tracks use the key and BPM published with that Mix as discovery context for potential matches. This is not a substitute for analyzing the audio locally, so Harmonic DJ may report different keys after you obtain and add a track.
Find Online uses available identity metadata to open a MusicBrainz recording or search, a descriptive Beatport search, or a SoundCloud search. This is a lookup convenience rather than a purchasing, downloading, or matching service.
When you legally obtain the audio, add it through the ordinary Library workflow. The local track becomes the canonical playable record; there is no separate manual-link path that bypasses normal analysis.
